Hi, im new to the site and looking for a bit of help and advice. I had gamma knife surgery on the 7th July. It has completely wiped me out and I wasnt expecting it. Ive felt exhausted, shaky, nauseous and have a constant headache. Ive had 2 strong migraines with visual disturbances (I get migraines about once a year). Im now begining to feel better in myself but the headache will NOT go. I also have a burning/stabbing/tingling on my right parietal (avm is on left parietal). Does this sound usual?.....
Hi, Bex, there is a wide array of experiences after gamma. Patients are usually taken by surprise, as they have often not been informed of possible sequelae. Yes, headaches and headaches with aura are often reported here after radiosurgery. Please let your doctor know about any new symptoms that come up. Sometimes, a pain specialist may be indicated.
