Dealing with the truth

I recently found out about my cerebral AVM on my 20th birthday in June after a series of health issues and a trip to the ER. I am currently getting ready for my 3rd year of college and not sure how to handle the news. I have been a cheerleader for the past 5 yrs and now my team wants me to join again but since I usually do stunts that involve me being lifted in the air, I'm not sure if I should stick with it. I will be getting another angiogram done next month and I'm a little terrified since it is right before I move back on campus. Explaining this to friends and family has just been hard.

I was diagnosed right after I turned 21. If you need any support or have questions you can ask =)

Hi AVMCheer. I think you and my friend Erin have a lot in common…
