There’s been a bit of a problem trying to figure out if my “aneurysm clip” is metal or not so I can get the MRI. I’ve had to cancel it for now because they haven’t been able to get an answer. Has anyone else had their surgery around the same time as mine (2007) know if they used metal or not. I have a feeling it isn’t metal but I know I need to be sure.
Hi Crozez, i hope you are well. I know its been a while since you posted but i wondered if you got to the bottom of your headaches. Did you manage to get a scan and was everything ok?

It may be you have clips that are safe for MRI’s as I also fall in the same category… I have endured lengthy discussions with specific radiologists as the question is always raised & whether or not is is safe… I have been knocked back 1-2 times as they were uncertain & generally try & have it done at the same place to avoid such issues… my understanding is that I have some titanium aneurysm clips that are safe… God bless!
