Site Migration 17/18 March

For information (and warning)

We are planning to migrate the site back from being https://avmsurvivors.org/ to https://www.avmsurvivors.org or just plain https://avmsurvivors.org on Sunday night, US time.

You may find that the site is unavailable for a while on Monday.

Obviously, we will keep an eye on things but if you can’t access the site some time after Monday next week, do email info@bensfriends.org and let us know what’s not working for you.

We are hoping that the changes improve our visibility to places like Google. There appears to have been a step down since we migrated the site in April last year that we would like to undo.

The migration appears to be complete and successful. I suspect there may be a minor step or two to tidy up fully but we will validate those and let you know if there is any further outage or new URLs (web addresses) that you need to know.

If you find anything unusual, please let me know. If you’re unable to login, please write to the Ben’s Friends email address.

For information, the site now resides at https://avmsurvivors.org but there are redirects in place from https://forum.avmsurvivors.org and https://www.avmsurvivors.org so hopefully you’ll not have any trouble finding the site. It may ask you to login again.

It looks like changing the site address has thrown a few people off balance but we have had twice as many new users join since the migration than we were seeing before, so hopefully people are finding us better / not being confused by the previous home page and we are able to support each other :+1:t3:
