California DMV procedure for driving after AVM surgery

Hi Everyone,

I have a minor visual loss in right field of vision after my craniotomy. I have been driving well after the surgery.

I need to go in for my license renewal in a few weeks and am scheduled to speak with a DMV hearing officer to see if I need a driving test.

Has anyone here experienced the same in California? What is the process? Will I be given a license with restrictions?

I am not sure about CA but in Florida you need a 130 degree vision field and I barely have a 100 degree vision field so I cant drive.
If you fail your vision test at the DMV they will ask for a vision field test from an opthalmologist.
