Video for Ben's Friends

Hi! Sorry, I can't think of another way to ask this question, so I'm just doing the easiest thing and posting a discussion. I've had some trouble sending in my video for Ben's Friends to ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■. I got the failure notice from gmail twice. So here it is. I could've talked for a REALLY LONG TIME because AVM Survivors taught me that people think creatively and have figured out how to do things with far fewer resources than what's available to me and definitely more pressing needs than I have - e.g. families who need to be fed, so an AVM Survivor cooks (with modifications) out of necessity. Anyway, thanks!

Ann, the video is fantastic! As a reader of your blog, I especially enjoyed it. Now I get to put a voice with your face.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Ann, do yourself a tremendous favor and read her blog. If you’re anything like me, you’ll find yourself drawn in and lose complete track of time. You’ll see how she faces the daily challenges of life, and her diabolical trainers - bahahaha!

You’ll learn about Anne, and also about yourself. She is an amazing AVM Survivor.

Good video Ann and we are all thankful for everyones contribution to the site...without the people there would be no support...God bless!

Hi Ann, Thanks for sharing I have only ever found one other member (Kayden) that used youtube to "document" Their journey which I found very inspiring, But also emotional at the same time as I had to have the same surgery twice ! :(

Thanks Martin.

We are so grateful for YOU, Ann! We started a website, www.hawkinssmallrevelations.com. There is a part of the site where we have put resources that we have used and people that have helped us. Your site was the first one we entered.
Much love!

Hi, Tim - Thank you so much for your kind words. Seriously, encouragement like this in RecoveryLand is unusual. This is perhaps worsened by the fact that I am the Black Hole of Affirmation. No joke. But it's always been like this - even before I had the brain injury!

I am on blog break while I tend to my PTSD and anxiety and I don't know what else, but I'm up to my tricks with my trainers. Trainer D got up in my grill again about eating food on Monday and I refused to fill out my paperwork for my new psych so I hit up Coach R to do it. (Me: I'm not explaining this to ANYONE else.) They are demanding Trainers, but very gifted, and let's be frank - they put up with a lot of shenanigans. Actually, I learned while lurking here at AVMSurvivors before I joined that when PT ends it's good to look out for a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) bc they know how your muscles work. I first found Animal Muppet (Trainer D), who is not a CSCS but has an embarrassingly nerdy knowledge of muscles and mobility, and then I met Coach R, who saved me from having to be alone with Animal Muppet, and who is hardcore CSCS, too (Olympic Men's Soccer S&C Coach, Beijing 08).

My horse, Ed says hi!! :) atnt

Thanks, Adrian :) PS. I've been wanting to tell you I love your profile pic.

WOW. I didn't have the courage to click on any of the vids yet - I was too nervous just looking at the title, "Staples stuck in blanket…" But I've got the tab still open and I'll take the plunge. Thanks for sharing, Martin!

Thanks, Austin - all set :)

Hi, Team Hawkins!! I LOVE the site. Seriously, it's so pretty -The pic with the Sept 28 post is great. And thank you so much for including me on your sidebar - I really appreciate it. And as I read your "about" blurb I couldn't believe it was only April 2014 that this happened. Man alive, it seems like I've known you a lot longer. So much has happened, and there's a lot more to be done - but you'll do it together. HUGS :).

Ann, Thanks yes I found this YT site via Kayden as a member here and since I was going to go through right lobe surgery, Its a little frightening and brought a tear to my eye, But it was nice to see such a good and quick recovery :) . Thanks

Martin.

Thanks for making a video, Ann. :)

How could I not ? :)
