well ihad my specialist visit to ask for thalidomide .and for a drug that was invented in this country, it is available everywhere else it seems!! exceptu!! here in auystralia, other than for thoes, who have Mltiple Myloma..now I don't have that and hope i never do...

but surely surely we pay our taxes and ..im just devasted ,I am now thinking of trying to source them in India which can be very risky.....

I have no words left ..im forced on to the black market and take more risks, other than the ones I am forced to take, because I cant afford all those dollars..I,m devastated it simply, isnt fair...

Ask your doctor to discuss all available options with you. Are there clinical trials you might be able to participate in? Is there a similar drug that might benefit you? Will the drug manufacturer discount your medication? Are there other ways the medication might be obtained?

I presume your physician supports your taking the drug? If so, there should be an insurance specialist at the hospital who can help with the roadblocks to medication. You can also contact hht.org to see if anyone can assist you there.
