Recurrent AVMs?

Hi! I had an AVM removed in 1992. For the last 10 years or so, I have had instances of falling over, toward the left usually. (Surgery was rt. cerebellum.)

Ok. So now, I have to have a CTA scan to determine if there is a residual AVM behind an area that has changed since its blood flow was cut off. There is also the possibility that a new AVM has formed there. (I thought they were congenital.)

Has anyone ever heard of these problems or experienced similar falling over (not vertigo/not dizziness--just sudden falling over, randomly, but more frequently with time).

Thanks, group! I so appreciate this site!

Hi Friend!

My AVM was left cerebellum and u had embolization and cranio Dec 2014. I haven’t fallen but I do notice that I am a little clumsier overall and when I’m tired I have to sit/lay down. So far I do my best to listen to my body and I have avoided a fall. Have you noticed that it happens at a particular time?
