My daughter is scheduled to have the surgery on her R. frontal lobe AVM, on Dec. 22. She is an opera singer, 25 years old. Did anyone had the same surgery on the same site,would like to know of your experiences of the outcome and if any of you noticed any difference in understanding or hearing music differently. We are very scared if this surgery would alter her abilities. But all in all that will not matter as much than saving her life first of all, but i know my little girl would be devastated if she could not sing any more. The doctors do not have any concrete answers. Just the wait and see kind of thing. I will be very happy to get that monster out of her head, but I also know music is very important to her.
