Hi All - My husband's employer is giving the employees a better benefit package. We will be getting new insurance. Since I have to get an MRI every 6 months to make sure all is clear - is this considered a pre-existing condition? I thought the President was getting rid of the pre-existing stuff. Is anyone familiar with this? Thank you.

It sounds like your husband must enroll the family in the new policy the first day it is eligible to ensure immediate coverage of a pre-existing condition.
Xtine, If u are already covered on ur husband's insurance, changing insurance carriers is not a problem. It is against the law already (before Obamacare) for insurance companies to site pre-existing conditions when coming over from another plan. -GK
