Could anyone recommend a very good neurologist specialized in following up stroke, AVM removal cranioplasty ? I believe it should be someone very senior and experienced because the situation of my son was complicated by infection following cranioplasty and he has no bone plate.
Hi. I can highly recommend going to NYU. The doctors I saw there, and the care I received from the neurology floor nurses and staff was outstanding. My AVM was in the spine, so I am not familiar with AVM’s of the brain. I can say that Dr. Peter K Nelson and Dr Tanweer from Interventional Radiology were fantastic to work with. I am told Dr. Nelson has invented tools and devices to treat AVM’s of the brain. Dr. Donato Pacione is my Neurologist. I highly recommend him as well. Hope this helps.
