Hi Holly. I copied this from a group in FB...
Just thinking about a post awhile back about making a dollar stretch in these tough times.,.,especially as a new hire, I was trying to think about what I do for my household to stretch a dollar and be a smart consumer....I shop a lot at Sam's Club and Costco, that may not be feasible for many...I also think Aldi is a great source for produce and household staples like flour, sugar, etc.... We use foaming soap in my house, I accidentally bought the big refill container of regular hand soap, I found out that 1/4 of regular hand soap and 3/4 water make foaming hand soap....now I always buy the regular hand soap and it goes a lot further, and it's less expensive....another resource is Amazon, if you get a prime membership you can get free two day shipping and a lot of items are less expensive than even Costco and such and ship right to your front door! and even if you are here in NC, there is NO sales tax....it adds up.....I buy all my diapers, wipes, baby products for my baby on here....just thought any tips we could share with each other would be helpful!
Here are some responses...Not healthy but I have lived on ramen noodles before...http://www.budget101.com/frugal/ramen-noodle-recipes-1548/
I go to the Merita Outlet Bakery on Freedom drive. Really cheap, can get bread for 1.00 a loaf... Usually by like 10 and put them in the freezer...
I hope some of these ideas can help you!
