Milestone

I had a bleed last December and then a craniotomy on March 7th. There were complications of hydrocephalus requiring a drain. I was in the acute care hospital for nine days and then in patient rehab for seven more days. I came home using a walker. BUT today at six months post; I just walked three miles( the loop around my neighborhood) No cane. It was slow but I made it! It’s a milestone I’ve been working toward and it feels great to have done it.
I just needed to post it and mark my progress. Hooray

Awesome Carol, great news! John.

Have a funny story to tell you about after having my surgery and a walk. Was at my grandparents house a month after surgery walking to the barn with my older brother when a big German Shepherd starts barking at us. My brother says don’t run just keep walking. Then the dog gets closer to us and my brother asked how fast can you run. Luckily the dog never chased us and made back safe.
