Looking for support, friends, network in New York

Dear Friends,

I have a 16 year old nephew who has been diagnosed with brain AVM 6 years ago. As he faces the challenges of being a teenager and having some physical challenges with walking and communicating my sister and I are reaching out to other families for support. He is often depressed, gets teased, and needs to be connected to other kids his age who can understand what he is going through. We need help! My sister lives in Queens, New York. I live in Florida :) Any suggestions, comments, will be greatly appreciated.
