As many of you know my surgery is scheduled for next month.
I've always been a independent person ..i do EVERYTHING on my own and it kinda worries me that i may lose that. I know i should and need to allow people/family to help me but it makes me feel so vulnerable am i crazy?
No, you're not crazy. I understand your feeling. You don't want to be dependent on someone. I get that. However, you've got to accept that your family will want to help you so that they don't feel so helpless. You need to let them. After surgery you may not need your family around for long. Initially you'll probably be very tired and some things may seem very daunting. Let your family help you with those. You can let them know when you're feeling up to doing it all on your own but they'll be happy that they were able to help.
