Hi - Anyone else had lega guardianship while in a coma or otherwise? If so, what was the process like for you, how long did it last, and how did or will you/if you plan to thank him/her/them?

I might be mistaken, but I think that things like wills and guardianships are unique somewhat by what state you live in.
No personal experience with guardianship, but I'd guess it would run indefinitely until you or the person you are referring to is competent to make decisions on his/her own assuming there was some competency impairment. For a youth & no impairment, when they hit legal age for the state, to me it would seem that is when the guardianship would end.
No clues about how to thanks. I suppose it would depend on the relationship of the guardian.
