It has been awhile

Hi everyone
I am so happy to say that my pregnancy went great and I had a beautiful little girl; we named her Ella Faith. Since then I have had a grand mal seizure and my daughter Breanna who is five was me at the time of my seizure :frowning: I felt horrible that she had to witness that. She seems okay with what she saw but we did explain to her that mommy gets bad headaches sometimes and that can happen sometimes. I was wondering if anyone else has had their children witness a seizure? And if so, how have you explained the situation to them?
I am finally going back to the Avm clinic at Toronto western. I am hopping to talk with another specialist and maybe they will have another opinion on my Avmโ€ฆfingers crossed

Hi Amanda. There is one more sub-group here you should join...

Lots of people there go to Toronto Western!

Hi, Amanda. I don't have any answers for you, but I want to congratulate you on the birth of Ella Faith. I love her name!

congrats on your new addition. I have 4 children and they have witnessed my seizures. My children range frm 6 to 13. I basically told them my brain misfires like a car and it causes me to shake and sputter. That worked for the younger kids. The older kids got a better explanation. But they seemed to understand. We just taught the children when ihave one to keep me safe and after a certin time when i quite shaking if i didn't respond to call 911. we actually praticed. This may not work with your 5 yr old. I hope all goes well. My thougts and prayers are with you all
