I just finished my radiation treatment today. After being diagnosed with an asymptomatic AVM 22 months ago I finally decided to get some treatment. My AVM is on the right parietal lobe next to the sense and motor centers of the left side. After CT scan, MRIs and angiogram the suggested treatment was radiation. I decided to go for it even though I never had any symptoms and it was found totally by chance. What should I expect?
Right now I am taking Lorazepam 1mg, OMEPRAZOLE and DEXAMETHASONE. My Doctor told me that 1 year from now she will order another MRI to see if any change has been made. Hopefully something good will come out of this.
