TODAY MARKS 36 YEARS TODAY SINCE MY AVM WAS TAKEN OUT. EVERYDAY I AM THANKFUL. AFTER 9 BREAKS AND SURGERY I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW TO CELEBRATE BUT I CELEBRATE BY BEING THANKFUL EACH AND EVERY DAY TO HAVE THE OPPORTURNITY TO TELL THE WORLD HOW THANKFUL I AM. KEEP UP YOUR SPIRITS AND BLESS EACH DAY AS IT COMES. THANKS FOR BEING ABLE TO TELL EVERYONE THAT. SINCERELY JACKIE
Congratulations, Jackie! Thanks for sharing the good news. :)
Congrats on the awesome news.
Hurrah!
That's fantastic, and it's so great that you continue sharing your story because it can help people see that even as hard as the journey can be sometimes there is light at the end of the tunnel and reason to hope. Yes some people do have inoperable and/or untreatable AVMs, suffer temporary setbacks or even wind up wishing they hadn't had surgery but there are actually a lot of people who in the hands of talented surgeons are able to be cured or at least greatly improved, even some even who at one point or another were told their prognosis was not good or that their situation was hopeless. I think it's really important that people at the start of their healing journey hear from those who have seen improvement or been cured and are now enjoying an excellent quality of life, especially children.
What a wondeful anniversary to be able to celebrate and give people hope also. I'm very happy for you!!!
Great news Jackie. I am so happy for you. It is lovely to hear positive feedback and it certainly shows new members that there is hope. Our daughter had an avm in her foot and that has now been successfully removed too. I love your sense of gratitude. IT will take you far in life! Good luck
Jackie, exciting, exciting ! Congratulations !!!! Hang in there another 36 years !!! Proud of you ! Sally
Hi jackie long term survivors club member i think. I passed my 36 year this year so we must have been suffering together. Wish i had known about you then on a forum like this.
I am a 14 year survivor and I take one day at a time, as well. I am thankful for the blessing of still being here after a major brain bleed from my AVM.
We are Survivors of the best kind. Loving life and sharing our blessings with this site and all we know.
