I am the happiest man on earth. Had the hernia surgery (left side, the spinal angio-side) 17 june, 4 weeks ago. Big surgery, open mesh surgery, but the surgeon wanted to be sure, cause of my thrombosis and pulmonary embolism history. So short story: All went well. Since 2 days no pain, little discomfort sometimes, but - HAPPY. Yes had the hernia over 2 years. Hated the shower or bathroom, cause saw my bowel looking out (LOL). Now its clear.

The best for you John! I was very nervous about the many bad stories of mesh problems and bla bla bla. But - like all friends I know with same surgery - no problems ! Good luck, good surgery and fast recovery!

I also had my hernia surgery, two weeks ago, and now I am getting back close
to normal again. It was like you said, two days of pain, but it was medicated
and then slow steady improvements each day. Thank you for your posting this!
