We have recently received a diagnosis of AVM for our stepson and really I don't know where to begin with the questions. They will perform a cerebral angiogram first part of December to confirm the diagnosis. Let me back up: he suffered an intercranial hemorrhage on December 11 - this is how the found what they believe is the AVM. They were unable to ascertain the exact location due to the large amount of blood however they feel it is deep brain. What types of treatments have others found to be successful? With it being deep brain is the gamma knife more likely than embolization? I would appreciate any and all information as to treatments because, as I said, we really are trying to get a better understanding. Thank you for any feedback
