Hi, my name is Becca and I had an AVM/stroke 2 years ago and now I suffer from foot drop after an AVM rupture. I am now working on a shoe company to specifically address foot drop. Is anyone interested in sharing your experience? What are some of the challenges you face in finding shoes/sandals? For me finding attractive shoes has been my greatest struggle. I hope to someday provide the community with a beautiful sandal while also inspiring confidence.

I have an AVM, (Crebellum) but I don’t have foot problems. I just want to congratulate you on trying to do something to benefit other AVM-ers with drop-foot or any other foot problem. I’m a shoe-freak and because of the AVM, I have had to put the high heels away because my balance is off and walking ain’t as easy as it used to be. Now I’m constantly looking for fashionable flats or low heel shoes. Keep us posted on your shoe project.
