Hi Elaine,

Yes, he is the BEST!!! :)

Dr. Steinberg is a brilliant neurosurgeon w/the most genuinely caring personality too.

Wish ALL docs were like him!

Elaine,

If you had four doctors say your child is fine, and Dr. Steinberg said child needed surgery. Would you be willing and trusting enough to travel halfway across the country for him?

Thanks,

Tina

I would look up AVM and reallize that it is a silent ticking time bomb that will eventually go off and dr. steinberg can do this surgery - when i first got diagnosed at KAISER - they panicked and gave me no hope - 5 min w/ dr gary steinberg and i was making plans to have them go into my brain with crazy glue they , meaning steinbergs doctors with stienberg there as well = after a little gluing steinberge called me and said he was going to get rid of it through surgery. he i think your 4 doctors know that is a difficult surgery .

I have four neurosurgeons who won’t touch my daughter’s head after she’s had an AVM rupture, two craniotomies and still has a residual AVM. Dr. Steinberg is ready to remove it. We leave end of the month.

How did you hear bout Dr. Steinberg ?

One of our neurosurgeons at home referred us to Dr. Steinberg. I emailed him and sent my daughter’s films to him. His team reviewed the films and determined my daughter still has a residual AVM.

Your daughter will be in GREAT hands!

Hello Elaine,

I was wondering if you also looked in to UCSF (Dr. Michael Lawton) before deciding on Stanford (Dr. Gary Steinberg). I have to undergo brain AVM surgery in the next few weeks and I am not able to decide which way to go - Dr Lawton or Dr Steinberg. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.
