Decide between Crainiotomy or Gamma knife?

I decided to have gamma 9 months ago and I am fine with my choice so far. I will know if it worked at all in January. It is a hard decision and I made it on my own. The doctors did not try to direct me either way. I live in San Diego and found a great team of doctors at UCSD

Aunteet, this is the first time I’ve heard about gamma knife ruling out a craniotomy down the road. Do you know why? Thanks!

Brooke, the approach I’ve seen is work well is a team of docs, including a neuro and an oncology radiologist. The Have you looked at Barnes Jewish? They seem to have a good team…

I double checked about Crainiotomy being available after Gama Knife procedure. I was incorrect. Crainiotomy “is” still an option after Gama Knife procedure. Sorry for the misinformation.
