Could it really be?

What are the chances of a family having both parents die of an AVM bleed? I think it's 1 in a 100 million.
Online articles state that 1% of the population have brain AVMs and of that percentage, 1% die as a result of a bleed.
Same NHS hospital/same team/ same message of doom - 'bleed
is too large to treat'.
Year 2000, dad - age 61
March 2012, mum - age 66

Could it solely be bad luck ?

Ami-Ka, I'm so sorry to hear of your lose.

My thoughts and prayers are with you!

Oh Ami-ka. I would say the chances of both your parents having an AVM are astronomical but not impossible. You might find this link interesting…
