So. Yesterday I had my first consultation with the hospital team. It has left me confused and worried. I have a choice - leave my AVM and risk a bleed or have gamma knife treatment. I am oscillating between the two at present. Leaving as is runs the risk of a catastrophic bleed at 1 to 2 percent a year that goes by or take a chance with the radiation knowing that that may not work. What to do? I have no idea. An unexplored bomb that may not explode or try to defuse it and possibly cause it to explode. Hobson’s choice. Hope all are well.

Hobson’s choice - well said. Have you considered a second opinion? I did, and was offered another choice. At the very least, it may give you additional perspective. I see you joined the UK AVM group, so asking about doctors may be a good place to start. All the best!
