Brain injury & getting overloaded

Patti,

I can totally relate, you aren't alone (obviously! look how many of us replied!). I can't stand crowds, there's just way too much commotion to watch out for, like stepping on people or people running around, or little kids screaming. I end up just wanting to melt into the background and watch from a distance. And some people might take that as being "anti-social" or think you are too snobby to hang out with them. People just don't get it.

Hi Nicole R,
Yes, the feeling of wanting to "melt into the background & watch from a distance" is all too familiar.
Thankfully with this particular declined outing, our family 'accommodated' my need to avoid the crowd & we instead met for b-fast @ a small cafe. I'm very fortunate! ;)
Take care.
