We have been asked to share my daughter's story this Wed. night to a group of 9 and 10 year old girls at church. I want to give them just a short background on what an AVM is and possibly print out a few pictures to try to help explain what happened. This is really late notice but wondering if anyone knows where a good place to look for some. Just thought I would ask. Thanks!
Keep it simple so they don't have too much to process. I like how it was explained to us once that the veins are like a tangled ball of yarn. Also make sure you tell them it is very rare so they don't worry about them having it. Explain the complications from it and that there are ways to cure it for some people, others can not be cured. Explain how it has changed her life and ways that they can help.
