This year California law requires insurance plans to cover Acupuncture for individuals and small businesses. When I was first diagnosed with an AVM in the right parietal lobe, a friend recommended that I see her Acupuncture Dr. as soon as possible. I did and I recovered movement in my left hand and I was able to move my arm. After three treatments he said that was all he could do for me. Before and after the embolization and radiation to remove the AVM, I was left to my own devices. Since I refused to take drugs for the pains and aches, I found relief through a holistic practitioner. I would like to know how many patients use “complementary” approaches with conventional treatment, and how can you afford it?
