I am a new member and long-time AVM survivor. When my AVM occurred in 2000 my family and I never found a survivor network like this, and I think it is a great place to learn and share with one another.
I recently published a book that might be of interest to the community. It is a food/recovery memoir chronicling experiences from the bleed, to rehabilitation, to finding my passion for cooking and food. The book is entitled “Cooking and Screaming” and I would love for you to give it a read and tell me what you think.
Thanks so much!
i will definatley look around for it…glad something so positive come from such a horrible experience
Thanks Alicia, writing the book was actually a cathartic experience for me, and I’m hoping that it offers a bit of comfort, and answers questions for a variety of readers. I have found that not many people have even heard of AVMs, so I’m hoping my book can shed a little light, in addition to telling a personal story. Thanks again.
Where would be a good place to find your book? It sounds interesting.
It should be in local bookstores like, Barnes and Noble or Borders, or you can simply order it through Amazon. Thanks.
