Absolutely loved 'Six Feet Under'. Great show.

Thanks for this look back Kristin.

From IMDB.com: Alan Ball's cousin suffered from an arteriovenous malformation, which was the inspiration for the same ailment that afflicts Nate at the end of the first season.

Thanks for that clip Kristin. It was great. I thought it was one of the best things ever on TV when it came out. I did not know I had an AVM myself at the time. While trying to explain what an AVM is to my friends I often mention do you remember Nate in Six Feet Under....

This is one of my all time favorite Dramatic Series that HBO put out about 10 years ago. The main character, Nate Fischer, ends up discovering he has an AVM at the begining of Season 2 and the rest of 7 part series deals heavily with his prognosis and how it affects the people in his life. Its a wonderful and accurate peak into what it feels like to live with an AVM and have one bleed...... Nate Fischer is my hero......
