Difference between AVM and AVF

Hi every one, just a quick question, what is the difference between an AVM and an AVF?

Thanks, jg

An avm (arteriovenous malformation) has multiple abnormal connections between arteries and veins and looks like a tangled ball of spaghetti. An avf (arteriovenous fistula) may have many veins involved, but only a single abnormal arterial connection. Elsewhere, you asked about a DAVF. The D is for dural. The dura mater is the outerermost layer covering the brain.

thanks for the information.

Different doctors have used the term AVM and AVF for mine, so I’m not sure it is 100% clear cut.
