When did you return to work after surgery?

Hi All-
My surgery was 11/6/12, almost at the three month mark (removal located between brain and spinal cord). I was wondering when others returned to work after surgery. How did you find work to be? Did you return part-time or full-time? I don't think I have a job anymore its been so long they hired others. I feel sad about that but at the same time do not think I am ready to go back do to all the post-opt things going on - especially the overwhelming feeling. How do/did others deal with this? Thank you.

I am so glad this question was brought up!! I used up 3 months of my 6 months medical leave. I am supposed to return to modified duty, and if I do (probably will) have my right temporal lobe CM removed, I will end up using the rest of my medical leave, then I will have 2 months of modified duty time left. I didn't think I would have to do so many planning before this, especially not knowing how I will be after surgery!!

I returned to work, part time, about three months after surgery. At the time, they were very nice about letting me work half days. After a couple of weeks, I went up to full time. It was tough, but good to keep my self moving. Sitting at home was too boring.
