In Rochester, MN. Embolism was supposed to start at 8am and husband fasted 8 hours and arrived, was prepped and has been sitting and waiting since. The doc said it was being pushed back for some emergencies. It's now 1:18pm so I really hope they get him in soon.
Several pre-op appointments tomorrow. Big surgery on Wed.
Hanging in there and trying not to stress but I think my nerves just my get the best of me yet

I meant to write "femoral nerve". Unable to edit post just written.
That sounds very painful; all that p
ost-embo swelling pressing on my (Femoral)vein required narcotic pain meds every 3.5 hrs rather than the usual every 4 hrs. It was not a time to "bite the bullet".
Your husband is in my prayers today as he undergoes the 20 hr surgery. Fortunately, he is blissfully unaware due to anesthesia. Kimi, you are in my prayers today also. This must be extremely tough.
Comment by Kimi on September 26, 2012 at 9:44am Embolism went ok but he had a great deal of pain after (the artries they filled are wrapped around facial nerve). This morning he went in for the big surgery at 8am (20+ hours). All prayers are welcomed!

Kimi,
Hoping for a successful surgery today & smooth recovery.
Best wishes coming your way!

Hopefully your husband was able to see the doctor and everything is set for surgery on Wednesday. Please keep us posted. All the best!!
Just checking in to see if you had posted anything today. I'm sure you are way too busy at the moment but know that you both are in my thoughts.
I used to hate the "hurry up and wait" scenarios where we'd rush to hospital at 7am only to wait till 3pm for surgery. Our approach was and is "Onward and upwards" as we faced each new day of challenges.
You have a lot going on this wk! You both are in my thoughts and prayers.
