We had Elizabeth's pre-op appointment Monday and surgery is confirmed for next Friday. We will go in on Thursday for an angio/embolization and she will stay overnight either in ICU or a regular room depending on whether or not she can have the embolization. Dr. Grant gave her some good news, very little hair removal and dissolvable stitches instead of staples. She really liked he sound of that. They are going to go in through the back left of her skull to reach the AVM as there is a "clear" path left over from where the clot was.She is very ready to have this over, she keeps telling me, "daddy I'm not scared about surgery at all!". I believe her, too. Everything she has gone through so far has given her a strength beyond her years. Please keep her in your prayers, my wife as well. The first trimester nausea is in full swing and she really wants to be strong for Elizabeth.

It is amazing how little hair they have to remove! We were amazed!

Lindsey had her embolization the day prior to her craniotomy as well. She spent the night in the PICU and had her surgery early in the morning, for most of the day. We will be praying for an awesome outcome for Elizabeth, and a quick recovery! You are almost on the other side of this!!

Best of luck on the upcoming surgery and make sure to hug Elizabeth. We're all thinking about her. ((((( Elizabeth ))))) Also like Trish said, I hope the nausea subsides...
