Joshua Aguilar August 12, 1994 - April 22, 2010 Our forever Miracle...

On January 26, 2010 at 1:30am Joshua's AVM ruptured and bled. Joshua was admitted to Children's Hospital, Los Angeles. On the evening of January 26 Joshua went into a coma as a result of a 2nd bleed in the brain. Joshua was then put on a ventilator.

Joshua was in a coma for about a month , his mom was told to take him home on hospice care because there was no hope for recovery or him coming out of the coma due to the size and the location of the bleed. On March 2, 2010 Joshua came home and on March 12 Joshua started to shake his head no and nod his head yes. A week later on March 20 Joshua spoke for the first time, he said yes, no and mom.

From March 12 until April 19th Joshua wasn't able to walk, but he smiled, he cried, he told jokes, he said I love you, he did things the doctors said were impossible. With his family by his side they were able to witness that miracles really do happen.

The afternoon of April 19th Joshua had another bleed that put him into a coma, which he never woke from. On April 22nd at 2:10am Joshua took his last breath.

Joshua's life was a miracle. Joshua fought especially hard these last few months of his life. He fought the good fight and finished his race in life. We were lucky enough to have Josh for one month where he was able to talk to us, tell us his jokes and make some pinky promises.

Unfortunately Josh lost the battle with the bleeds and the constant seizures. He will be missed but never forgotten, he was a best friend, a great brother but most of all a loving son.

"...Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path..."

My deepest sympathy, I have a son named Joshua which means the chosen one. He as you know was a strong, courageous leader as well. I believe your Joshua showed the strength and character of a chosen one who was a fighter and tho he is not suffering anymore, you suffer because we miss those we love when they leave us. God Bless you with comfort during your time of loss~ Sincere regards - Dawn

I just want to say that i'm so sorry for your loss and that i am so glad his family and friends were able to talk with him and have those good memories of him in the last month of his life. That no one thought they would have again!! Seems how he had a big fight going on for most of it. He is a true miracle. God bless,
Andrea

Hi Mindy,

I'm sorry that Josh is no longer with us. But the fight that he showed in his last days was courageous and inspiring.

God bless,

Debbie

So sorry to hear of your loss. What a small blessing to have had that extra month to let Joshua know that he was loved, and for him to get to interact with all of those that he loved.

My condolences to you and your family. You have been in inspiration to all of us who followed Josh's miracle progress after his first bleed.
