On this date 3 years ago, I suffered the most random headache ever and my first and only brain bleed! I was immediately taken to the ER by my friends and quickly worked on by amazing hospital staff at University of Nebraska Medical Center.
I don't check in here as often as I used to, but this site helped me through my journey so much!
Today, I'm leading a fairly normal life with a 14 month old daughter by my side. I JUST got back into school for a Medical Assistant program, and I am super excited about it. School starts on the 31st for me.
I lived through days & years of anxiety, depression, intense fear that something like this would happen to me again, but eventually it settled down and I was able to focus on life and what really matters! I guess the best advice I can give anyone going through this is never lose hope, and things WILL return to normal , or close to normal someday. It does require effort on your part though, change won't happen otherwise. Don't give up, and you'll be okay!

It's so strange that you use the term.."my brain breaking"...That's how my son describes it or he says "my brain exploded"

Thanks for sharing and congratulations :-D

Corona is about 20-30 minutes away from Anaheim depending on traffic

Comment by Tony L Sydney on January 18, 2013 at 3:02am Congrats on being that wonderfully normal person you are. We may have to share a celebratory drink sometime soon, good buddy. So proud to know you, Lucy Van Pelt! BTW, how far is Corona from Anaheim?
Comment by Toni Yeomans on January 17, 2013 at 9:06pm And I should add, to this day I still find joy in sharing my experience and educating the random people I meet in my life about AVM's!
