I over did it but, I enjoyed myself. :)

I woke up this morning with a massive headache and a stiff neck.  My tremors that I get, have been out of hand all morning.   I also have the mental fog going on.   I'm just not feeling to well all around.

I though to myself: "What the heck did I do to bring this on?!"    Then it dawned on me.   We got 5" of wet snow the other day.   I snow blowed and shoveled 3 driveways yesterday.  My mothers - which can park 4 cars in it,  my friend's - which can park 10 cars in it, and mine - which can park 8 cars in it.

I over did it.  But, you know...I would do again in a heart beat.    I enjoy being outside and I like being constructive.   I usually over do it more in the summer, when it's nice out.  I have a bad habit of over doing it and pushing myself.    You would think by now, I would know better.  But, I don't.  Old habits are hard to break.  Ha Ha

I have a philosophy:   I might live another 20 or 30 yrs.  I also might only live another 2 days.   Despite the 'problems' I now have, I'm still going to try to do the things I like to do (and can do).   Yea...I pay for it later that day or the next day.  But, Hey... At least I enjoyed myself.  :)         Thank you for listening.

Thank you everyone for your advice and your comments.   I never was a good patient.  My doctors take my 'condition' a lot more seriouse than I ever did (unless I'm having a real bad day).   If I'm with friends and I'm over doing it -- They will put me in my place.  Luckily for me, I live alone  ((wink)).

Ben, your philosophy is very good.  Sometimes I think I should take it easy too and then I mentally smack myself and say, "NO! You'll have time to 'take it easy' when you're dead..."  We all gotta keep moving!!

What a bummer, Ben!

It feels so good to be doing something physical and rewarding like that, then argh! to pay for it the next day. :(

I echo what Cindy says and try to modify your activities, but keep on living your life to the fullest, yet within your limits. :)

Well you should be careful!! Over doing it once in awhile isnt to bad but why add more fuel to the fire. Sometimes it is worth it to feel like crap later on so as long as you had fun for a bit =) Be safe

Cheering for you, Ben! Don't stop living your life by not doing what brings you happiness (unless, of course, if it does jeopardize your health, then 'modify' it so it doesn't put you in 'jeopardy') and take care of yourself ALWAYS.

Hi Ben. My husband picked me up from my trip yesterday and what do you think his first words to me were...I over did it yesterday! It seems he rearranged some of our furniture while I was gone. BTW...it looks really good. Now for the funny part of this comment...he never had an AVM. We all over do it sometimes!!!!
