Are there any for people with AVMs?or that have had a stroke? I got all A's and one A- last semester, but will likely miss this semester because of medical bills and whatnot...

Get that FAFSA filled out ASAP and then apply for as many scholarships as possible, you will probably have one good story to write for the essays.

I agree with Ninna. Financial aid would not be specific to AVMs, but your handicapped status sould protect you and "level the playing field" legally. I know a blind man who received grant $ throughout college. He was such an inspiration b/c he commuted by bus, along with his guide dog. Like you, he was able to keep an A average despite his disability. Wishing you all the best in 2013!

Hi!

Make an appointment to speak to your financial aid counselor in your school :) They should be able to have financial aid gifts (scholarships, grants and various types of free money)to help you pay for tuition. Hopefully, crossing fingers for you!
