Dionne, make sure you see the scans yourself and understand exactly what is pictured. Ask lots of questions. Find out how many AVMs/AVFs Dr. Kumpe has treated. Ask what the plan will be for monitoring for revascularization after embolization. Ask what the embolic agent will be and why it was chosen; there are many different agents, and they have different properties. Did the CT scan have contrast? Will there be an angiogram done before the embolization?
