It's been a long time since I shared anything. My daughter has been so sick. The first of December she fainted in the Shower and fell, broke her wrist and soon after she was unable to walk, talk, dress herself and had to go to a wheelchair. We took her to her neurologist and he did a MRI and told us the AVM was so large and there was such a tangled mess he could not tell us anything and that there was nothing he could do. So he sent us to her neuro-surgeon , He did a CT scan and two days later we thought we were going to lose her. He sent her to another doctor and told us she had fluid on her brain. She had Surgery 2 weeks ago today and within 3 hours she was able to stand and take a few steps. Now she is walking , talking, dressing herself. They had to put a shunt in her brain and run a tube to her stomach. This will remain in her forever. We are so grateful to this doctor and to our Almighty God Jehovah. We know without all the prayers she would not have made it. If anyone ever tells you let your child have radio-surgery , please find out as much as you can, because it damaged my daughters good brain cells which will never grow back.

Thanks for sharing your daughter story with as. I am so glad that your daughter is walking , talking, dressing herself again. Your story reminds me a bit of mine and how my mom fight for me. She never lost hope. My first neurosurgeon told my mom that had to accept that I was going to die. She told him that she was sure that God will heal me.. thanks to God and that my mom look for a second opinion I am alive!

May God continues blessing both of you!!!

Morning Kathy--

Your life and the life of your daughter and her well-being just brings tears to my eyes--tears of joy that she is now doing better, and tears that wretch my gut because your daughter, you and your family, and so many others have to endure this chronic pain and suffering!!

I am so glad that her recovery has begun, and I will sincerely pray and ask God for her continued healing and for your comfort as a mother--I know it is hard--my Mom worries constantly--she does not necessarily think about the AVM itself, but the chronic pain and how the migraines have removed so much of my life since I was 4 years old.

Your daughter and how it has strengthened you is inspiring, and I know that God is looking out for you and truly feels your pain and suffering--some distance God from what they are going through--he does not bring the pain, but He allows it for a reason--we do not always know what it is, but He has the plan for all of us, and He knows exactly what that is.

My wife and I and our 4 kids truly believe in His powerful healing--we apply His command in James 5:14-, and we have seen the miracle of healing in so many ways--but, sometimes He chooses not to heal now, but He will completely heal us at the return of Christ--that is what we can all look forward to!

Please take care--tell your daughter that she is in our thoughts, our prayers, and that we ask for God to continue to work in all of your lives. Bye for now--

Hello I am so glad that you found a good doctor. My friends daughter had to a have shunt when she was a baby and now she is 14 and has had no issues. I also had brain damage from a massive stroke and in a less than a year the brain damage was gone. My husband did most things organic and starting drinking coconut water, cooking with coconut oil, stayed away from carbs. I also take turmeric every day. I will pray for your daughter. The brain can remap itself.

I am so thankful your daughter is doing well. What a horrible experience she has gone through. I have an ex-girlfriend who has a shunt in her brain because of a tumor that was/is blocking the flow of the fluids. That was 25 years ago it was put in and she is still doing well.

Thank you for posting, Kathy. I am very sorry to hear about your daughter's fall. I am relieved that she is doing better after her surgery. You have been through so much, and this must have been quite a scare. I wish her a full recovery!
