Unraptured AVM

Thumbnail
The idea of this group is to discuss AVM that did not bleed yet. Should we Treat or leave it untreated and wait ? The impact of untreated AVM in daily life. Is it a Time bomb on our head ? or a problem that we need to get use to ?

First of all I would like to thank for yours advises and good feelings. I hope for all to cured and enjoy full health. After the discussions with my doctor he told me the catheter ( Endovascular emblloization) should be the first option for the treatment. He not recomend the gamma knife unless the catheter is inapplicable. I found a French professor his name is Prof.Jacques Moret he work as visitor doctor in cairo. i am try to booking with he.See More

I find it facinating that you live in Cairo Egypt. Every show that comes on about the pyramids I have to watch. I think that Zahi Hawass is really cool. He seems strict but I suppose he has to be when he is dealing with artifacts that are 5000 years old. Have a wonderful week and God bless you! Kellie

I would think that an avm of your size would be ideal for Gamma Knife or even crainiotomy?...I too, just completed 4 embolizations that relieved my symptoms of a year ago...(headaches, left side weakness, loss of peripharal vision) I understand the fear of confronting ur situation and weighing the risks vs. benefits in the treatment plan you my choose. Please keep us posted as we have all been there. Best of luck finding a surgeon. -GK
