- Although my AVM has shrunk and is now down to 17mm x 11mm in size (as of last sept.). I have more problems now than I did before. I suffer with non-epileptic seizures, dystonia, tremors, and involuntary muscle movemements, anxiety, and of course some depression that comes with it. Oh,...and a lot of pain, from the back of my head, all the way down to my lower back. I've been on 14 different meds. Each one them made me worst. I have not been able to work for nine months now. I've seen 8 Drs. They just tell me, my symptoms are either from the AVM or from the radiation I had. For some unknown reason, I seem to get worst. What ever is going on with me hasn't stablized yet. My three years is up at the end of this month of my radiation treatnent. I may have to go for another one. I'll find out next month when I get a mri done. The irony of all of this is....a year ago, I was fine. That's a brief summary of it anyway
- Would you like to recommend a surgeon, therapist, or a hospital?
- I haven't found who might be better than another. ?
Update (12/19/10) - My avm is still the same size and I decided not to have it treated again. My Nuerologists believes that all of the problems I am now having is a from the Gamma knife I had in 2007. I have now been diagnosed with short-term memory loss. I am only retaining 57% of what I hear or read. And I have chronic anxiety (nervouseness). And once again, there are no meds. that have helped me.
I get a strong migrain at least once a week now. Sometimes lasting a couple of days. Accompanied with nausea, vertigo and sometimes bruit. I can no longer stand for any length of time because my legs won't hold me.
I have learned to accept this, and I also know.. it could always be worst. :)

Did you ever just sit and think?
Did you ever just sit and think? Well.... That's me today. I'm not really thinking about anything in particular. I have a 100 thoughts running through my head. I never in my life ever thought I would be disabled. I thought I would always be working and I could afford to buy the things I wanted and go were I wanted to go (and when I wanted to go).

I over did it but, I enjoyed myself. :)
I woke up this morning with a massive headache and a stiff neck. My tremors that I get, have been out of hand all morning. I also have the mental fog going on. I'm just not feeling to well all around.
