My 13 year old son was diagnosed with having an avm which was located right next to his motor skills Jan 2010, we new someting was wrong with him when he lost feeling in his right arm and his speech came out backwards, we were sent to Royal Childrens in Melbourne as they were not equipped to deal with it here. After having several tests and an anigiogram they told us that the size an location is a problem, it is shaped like a cone and has several feeders, thanks to this site we seen prof morgan who did an amazing job and removed all of the avm. Brandon will be monitored over the coming years as avm's can grow back in children but for now thats the last thing on our mind we have him with us and thats all that matters!
