What are these gifts?

Think of them as virtual greeting cards sent with a personalized message.

Gifts are small graphics which can be given to other members of this community. When someone receives a gift, a message shows up on their comment wall, Latest Activity feed, and gifts box on their profile page.

When would I give a gift?

1. To welcome a new member.
2. To wish a member a Happy Birthday.
3. To lift a member’s spirits.
4. To send a get well soon card.

How do I give someone a gift?

1. To give someone a gift, go to his/her profile.
2. In the “Gifts Received” section, click on the “Give a Gift” link.
3. From here, you can pick a gift, enter a personalized message, and choose the privacy settings of the gift.

Can I create my own gift?

Yes, you can create a virtual gift from any small photo, icon, or small image. Email the JPG or GIF to us, your moderators and we'll create the gift for you.

How do I purchase more gift credits?

You can purchase additional credits through the Gift Store with a PayPal account.

Where does my money go when I purchase gift store credits?

Proceeds from purchases of gifts are used to maintain this community. Any leftover funds are used to create patient communities for patients of other medical conditions.
