A note to everyone: I’m sponsoring an AVM-get-together in San Antonio March 24th at 2pm on the Riverwalk. This in no way replaces the free BBQ in Houston in May that Daniel Sadler is doing after the walk in CA but Texas is a big place and I want to give everyone around the state a chance to come. Hi all! hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to let you know that there will be an AVM Survivors gathering Dec. 3rd in the Woodlands, Texas (Just north of Houston) and everyone that wants to come is invited. Just wanted to mention to anyone here (and I apologize if you've already figured this out) but you can find people in your area on this site by going to the members tab doing an advanced search and putting your city or state in there. I tried to do a search for New Mexico (for Brittany) but only state initials worked. So it seems that's something you can try if you choose to. Good luck everyone and welcome again!

hey guys, i have a brain avm or i should say HAD a brain avm :) i had gamma knife surgry in october 2010 and ii just found out my avm is finally gone... ive been recieving Avastin chemotherapy treatments to reduce the brain swelling i have. The swelling i have has caused partial paralisis on my left side. Especially in my left hand,arm and leg. The avastin is a miricle drug for me due to the fact my swelling is finally going down.. Im moving to Albguergue, New Mexico in october to live with my grandparents for a while to get away and get myself back to "normal' would really love to find some friends close by out there to have and give support to each other :)

Hey guys, im not to sure how to do this but i'll try my best. lol
Well i have AVM on my mouth ,tongue, and neck iv had it my whole life and started really getting work done when i was either 9 or 12 lol i think it was 9. i really don't pay much attention to it and sometimes forget i have it, but sometimes it just slaps me in the face when times get hard. So i came here to maybe make some friends who have an understanding of what i go through.. Hehe well im a nice person and would love to meet you and be your friend. :)
