Hello Dear AVMers,
As discussed in a couple of recent group messages, we would like to try to organize a regional get-together. So, this is your invitation to suggest time, place and other particulars for this event. I thibnk we need to decide on a couple of things in particular:
1. Date and time (and duration?)
Is this a Friday night throw-down, or a weekend reunion? What date(s)? Should we have a rain date?
2. Location/Venue:
We should think about access to airports/trains, etc., as well as hotels. Also, a location that is more or less central to our membership.
3. Activities
Are there a bunch of golfers in the group? Cyclists? (I'm both). Feel free to make suggestions.
4. Administrative
Depending on where we decide to do this, we will want to have one or two people to sort of "chair" the event. If it's in NC, I would be willing to help make arrangements.
So, in the immortal words of someone, "let's get this party started!". Thanks, Georgia, for the suggestion.
-John Hoarty
