What physical symptoms did you experience before your doctor(s) made the diagnosis of your AVM?

Fear Not, My Son describes my experiences back in the early '70's when options for treatment were limited. I'd love to know how how things have advanced in the decades since then.

Hi Rob,

Just after my rupture (two  weeks before the diagnosis) the physical symptoms that I had experienced were fatigue, nausea, dizziness, migraine-type pains of course, as well as pressure in the back of my neck. In just three days, my weight would plummet from 104 to 96 pounds because of the nausea. A trip to the emergence room, and one CT scan later, the doctors found bleeding in my right parietal lobe, and about two days later (after being sent and admitted to University of Maryland Medical) after any angiogram and an MRI with contrasts, I was diagnosed with the AVM.

I hope that answers your question. I'll be sure to check out your website and read about your experience.
