Hi Patrice, and welcome to the group! I do know of a few doctors, that reside in the Central Maryland area. Would you prefer to find a doctor in the Norfolk/Washington, D.C. area?

I am moving to Norfolk/Hampton Virginia area June 13! I am originally from Richmond and as a child went to MCV for my seizure condition although they just found out why I had them(avm near optic chiasm deep in brain) here at Vanderbilt research hospital in Nashville, TN where i currently live. i am wanting to get some info from you all about some good doctors in region to see and if you know of any treatments available for the deep avms i was told that i wouldnt be able to have gamma knife or craniotomy for the location would make me blind if they messed with it. i am seriously looking to get a 2nd opinion but need to know good doctors any of you may have found.

Hi everyone sorry have not been on in a while! To catch you up I have a pretty large AVM with two aneurysms. I am currently scheduled for July for another embo which will be my 9th. I have also had two gamma knifes and stent and coils placed in one of my aneurysms. The aneurysm surgery was two surgeries one in Feb and the other March 23rd. It has taken it toll on me but I am not giving up the fight. I still have more surgeries they say probably by time I'm done it will be close to 20. Melinda you are in my prayers for your surgery! and to all who have surgeries coming. Lee Ann
