Hello all. I was told up until a few weeks ago that my AVM was inoperable. I finally found a Dr. that says that he can remove it. My AVM is located on my motor cortex, so there is a good possibility of physical damage to my left side. To me the risk of this happening is less of a worry than waiting for this to bleed. I have seizures several times a day, even with my meds. I have my first embo scheduled for next Wednsday. I'm just curious to hear from anyone that has had this procedure and what I can expect for the near or far future. Thanks for your insight.
Peace
Dave

Hello David. I have been told my AVM is inoperable as well. Mine is in my left temporal lobe. My Doc is Dr. Alex Berenstein out of St. Luke Roosevelt in NYC. I have had 3 Embo's and 1 Stereotactic Radiosurgery. I was put under for all of my embos. Most of them I was under for 8-9 hours. I think the worst part of the embo's was when I woke up, I had to lay flat for 24 hours. Sometimes clamped to the bed with a catheter. I am so happy to hear you can have your AVM removed. I have never had a bleed, only 3 seizures my whole life, however, I know how you feel by having to wait it out and wonder, what next? Good luck to you and keep us posted!
